Posting Copyrighted Material
Just a quick note to those new and old to the site. Please do not post copyrighted material, such as official/unofficial movie scripts, novelizations, or pages from the original comic. I realize that writing fan fiction based off of an already existing franchise is a form of copyright infringement, but posting something that you didn't write is worse. So yeah. Stories, poetry, songfic.. that's all welcome. But only if it's in your own words. Anything else will be promptly deleted. Thank you!(my my, what a serious post. :'D)

Usernames
Hello fellow Vigilantians!I hope that everyone had a safe and restful New Year, and a lovely Valentine's Day.
My main reason for this post is in regards to new members, and username length. I've noticed several new members with very long, underscored usernames. Unfortunately, the script that is used on this site cannot handle such long names, and it throws the columns and tables of the site to hell. I am therefore requesting that all new members please create a username of a decent length. What would be a decent length? Well, perhaps within the realm of 5-14 letters/numbers. If you can help it, try to create a name that doesn’t need to be underscored, if you think you’ll go over the allotted length. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me and I’ll be glad to help. Following this simple rule will save me a lot of time and energy. I don’t enjoy emailing people to tell them that I either had to change their username, or that I had to delete their account due to the length.

New Skin/Update
Hello fellow Vigilantians! Just popping in for a quick post. Firstly, there's a new skin! Version 4 is the default skin for the time being, but as always, if you preferred a previous skin, you can always make if your default through Account Info, or change it using the drop down menu located near the bottom of the page. We're currently up to 234 stories, and I could not be happier! We've all contributed and worked together to make this one of the best VfV fanfiction resources on the net. I hope we continue to flourish. Secondly, the forum is down for the time being. It has been flooded with vile villainous spammers, and until I have time manually clear them out (and there are literally thousands of them), it’s closed. Out of curiosity, how many of you would prefer a livejournal community for the archive? I think that would be an easier way of communicating and listing fic updates. What do you think?
Oh, and remember, remember.. November the 5th is only 10 days away! Get those creative juices flowing!
